Our Story

Greek Life Sweethearts

Dylan's Story:

We met each other through greek life (Sigma Phi Epsilon and Alpha Chi Omega) at the University of Houston. We would see each other at events like philanthropy, tailgates, and parties. Dylan graduated from the University of Houston in December of 2019 while Jordan had one more year left of school graduating in May of 2020.

After COVID took the world by surprise, we re-connected and agreed to meet up at Sweet Green for our first date. It was such a great interaction because neither of us touched our food as we sat in the patio of the restaurant for hours bonding from our similarities in values, morals, humor, and overall life goals. The rest is truly history.

Jordan's Story:

Our story actually began in 2018 when Dylan slid into my DMs. It wasn’t until his impressive persistence that I finally agreed to a date in the Fall of 2020. Little did he know, I had a very vivid dream that we would start dating and I took that as my sign to stop trying to play hard to get. Dylan’s charm and tenacity won me over, and I was completely smitten.

Dylan is unlike anyone I have ever met: he is patient, kind, meticulous, and a true gentleman. He formally asked me to "be his girlfriend", took me on the most extravagant dates, and even waited a month or so to kiss me. When I finally demanded to know why he took so long, he replied, “Because you’re always on the opposite side of the room.” That was the moment I knew I never wanted to be in a room without him.

Dylan is witty, loyal, dependable, and everything I ever prayed for. I often say it is hard to be a law student, but it is even harder to date one. Dylan survived the hardest three years of my life all with unwavering support, allowing me to fully chase my dreams. For that, I owe him the most beautiful life.

To know our story is to know the meaning of 888. If you believe in angel numbers, 888 represents abundance, balance, and a deep, harmonious love, suggesting you have found your soulmate. To name a few: a $8.88 receipt the day before Dylan was approved for our first home, to buying our wedding rings at 888 Westheimer Road, to choosing our wedding date of August 28, 2026 (all the 8s), God and the universe have constantly reminded us that our love is infinite and aligned. “I have truly found the one whom my soul loves.” Song of Solomon 3:4

We cannot wait to celebrate our matrimony with you all.
