We are so excited to have you celebrate with us at the Griffin House in Oregon! If you’re looking to explore the area before or after the wedding, there’s plenty to see and do. Whether you're into nature, food, or culture, you'll find something that suits your style.
1. Explore the Beautiful Outdoors
Just a short drive from the Griffin House, the Columbia River Gorge offers breathtaking views and some of the best hiking trails in Oregon. Whether you're up for a peaceful stroll or a challenging hike, you'll be treated to stunning waterfalls, including the iconic Multnomah Falls.
Located a little further from the venue, Hood River is a charming town nestled between mountains and the Columbia River. The area is perfect for outdoor adventures like windsurfing, paddleboarding, or hiking. The downtown area offers plenty of shops, cafes, and craft breweries to explore.
2. Visit Local Wineries & Breweries
Oregon is famous for its wineries, and the Columbia Gorge is home to several fantastic ones! Spend an afternoon sipping local wines and enjoying gorgeous vineyard views. Some top spots include Phelps Creek Vineyards and Hood Crest Winery.
For those who prefer spirits, a visit to Hood River Distillers is a must. The distillery is known for producing top-quality local liquors, including vodkas, gin, and whiskey.

The Columbia Gorge Discovery Center & Museum

Located just across the river in Washington, the Maryhill Museum of Art offers a unique collection of European and American art, as well as Native American artifacts. The museum’s grounds also feature incredible views of the Columbia River Gorge.

Located just a short drive from the venue, Cascade Locks is home to some great local eateries, perfect for grabbing a bite before or after the wedding. It’s also a great spot to enjoy the river views and relax.
