Dylan and Andy met while they were both working at Frito-Lay in Beloit, WI. Dylan started in July 2017 and Andy had already been there over a year working as a Warehouse Supply Chain Leader on third shift. Once Dylan's training was done, she also joined the third shift crew on the packaging side of the plant. Despite Andy's best efforts to be cooler than the new guys, he soon admitted that they were actually fun and the whole group hung out most waking hours. Over the course of many breakfast beers at The Pub and cherry bombs at Whiskey Ranch, Dylan and Andy became very good friends. Almost a year later, Andy finally became single and Dylan swooped in to claim him as her own. They continued dating in "secret" until Dylan's big mouth finally got the best of her and everyone on the shift, if not the whole plant, found out.
They continued working at Frito for another year and a half, until Beloit and separate shifts finally got the best of them and they moved up to Appleton. Not only did they enjoy their first apartment together, but they also got the pleasure of introducing their two cats to each other. While it was a shaky first few months, the cats finally realized they tolerated each other too. Andy transferred to sales with Frito and continued his career in the chip world and Dylan turned to garbage and went to Amcor for plastic packaging manufacturing. Before too long though Andy realized he missed the pleasure of working with Dylan and also went to Amcor.
In 2021, Dylan finally convinced Andy it was a good idea to buy a house after being cooped in an apartment during COVID, so they moved a couple miles north into their first house! Since then, Andy has really leaned into his identity as a homeowner and has taken grass cultivating on as his #1 hobby, closely followed by servicing his snow blower and other yard tools. Dylan has also thrived as a vegetable gardener and yarn collector now that she has plenty of closets to fill with her crafts.
Andy and Dylan got engaged in Cabo on October 16, 2022. They took a walk down the beach at sunset when they stumbled upon a few baby turtles making their way to the sea. Not much farther down, there were a few more turtles laying their eggs and a ton more babies trying to get to the water. Along with some others, they tried to shield the babies from the snacking seagulls. On the way back, Andy proposed and Dylan happily said yes!! Luckily this was at the beginning of the trip, so they had the rest of the time to celebrate (and Andy didn't have to worry about being in charge of the ring in Mexio anymore)!
The wedding is just another step in their journey, hopefully closely followed by getting a dog or a little gray kitty.
