Easton and Becca met in high school where they shared a class. Easton was a sophomore while Becca was a freshman at Farmville Central. Their love and friendship continued to grow throughout their high school years. This was until Easton couldn't take it anymore and decided to make a bold move one afternoon in March. He proceeded to jump in front of Becca's car while she was leaving the student parking lot. He asked Becca to be his date to prom which Becca was very excited but did her best not to show it. She responded with a yes and from then on "they's was like peas and carrots". Prom never happened that year but it didn't need to for this couple to become each others' king and queen.

Easton went back for his final year of college at NC State. After moving back to Raleigh for the school year, Easton came to the conclusion he never wanted to leave Becca again. He prepared to get the ring and start planning the perfect proposal. The day came and he was so nervous that Becca thought he was terribly ill when he hit his knee in the driveway. He was so nervous he opened the box upside down so the ring wasn't even visible. I'm not sure if that was stupidity or strategy but we know she didn't say yes because of the ring! I would say he did in fact achieve that perfect proposal that afternoon.
