Sha’Keele, affectionately known as Shaq, is a proud NY Knicks and Dallas Cowboys fan. He also enjoys playing ball and tossing a football around—just don’t ask him to swim! He is a true animal lover. Shaq lives with purpose and compassion, constantly looking out for the well-being of others and striving to live by the Bible’s principles.
From a young age, Shaq showed a unique spiritual curiosity. As a boy, he lived next door to Sister Connie James and would often pause his basketball games to sit in on her weekly Bible studies with her grandson. Later, he began attending meetings at the Kingdom Hall with his beloved grandmother, Sister Patricia Fowler. In time, he began a personal Bible study with Pervis & Valerie Dunbar, who continue to play a meaningful role in his life.
Stay tuned to see how this beautiful foundation led to our love story!
Ebonee—lovingly called Ebb—is someone who finds joy in life’s quiet, meaningful moments. You’ll often find her in the garden, nurturing tomatoes, peppers, dill, and lemon thyme, with patience and care. She doesn’t keep the harvest to herself either—she’s quick to share, because giving to others is second nature to her. Her appreciation for God has guided her from an early age. Even in difficult times, she recognized His hand in her life. It was through her beloved grandmother’s encouragement that she began a Bible study with Debra & Danny Dunbar. Soon after, she made the personal decision to dedicate her life to Jehovah God and become one of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
“A threefold cord cannot quickly be torn apart.” — Ecclesiastes 4:12b
Long before we truly knew each other, our lives were already quietly linked. Without realizing it, we had spiritual parents who were also fleshly brothers—this shows we were woven together in ways only Jehovah could arrange.
Of course, we’ve had our imperfect moments. We’ve stumbled and sometimes taken the harder route. But even then, we always made room for Jehovah and got back on track. That choice has shaped everything. And with His help, we’ll continue to build our marriage on the same foundation of faith, love, and deep respect.
