Five years ago, we were introduced by our Groomswoman, Marie. Instantly we became best friends. We watched each other grow as individuals while we were both seeing other people. In our separate personal lives, we both experienced many challenges and losses. Through it all, we stood strong by each other’s side. Through unexpected hardships, we’ve lost touch for short periods of time, but we have always found our way home to each other.
In December of 2024 we reconnected, finally both single, and realized we could no longer live without each other. Monica, Eboni’s mother always knew they belonged together and consistently asked “when are you going to marry my daughter. “
Unbeknownst to Monica, he had a plan in the works for the last 5 years. Fifteen days later, Matthew spoke to Eboni’s family and immediately asked Eboni to spend her life with him. Without hesitation or doubt, she accepted him as not only her best friend but as her husband and partner for life.
We both know that we were handpicked for one another by God and Eboni’s father, Raymond Carter.
