Ebony and Russell first met in 2009 as they both entered Freshman year at thee Winston Salem State University! Go Rams! Their paths crossed frequently throughout their undergrad years, with timing never being quite right. Fast forward to Homecoming 2019 when Russell and Ebony bumped into each other (literally almost ran each other over) at the alumni gym jam. Russell asked Ebony on a date, and the rest is history! WSSU owes us NOTHING!

Ebony and Russell both enjoy good music, trying new restaurants and traveling. With Ebony’s upbeat personality and Russell’s laid back demeanor, the couple has the perfect balance to maintain a successful relationship.

After three consistent years of dating and growing in love, on December 16th 2022 Russell finally popped the question. Needless to say Ebony happily accepted!
