Our Wedding

Eddie and Brittany met each other in high school. After leading separate lives through college and the post college years, they came back into contact while Brittany took a road trip out west, which included a visit to Colorado where Eddie had been living for a few years. Though life continued to lead them on their own paths, they stayed in touch after that initial visit. Over the years, Brittany made a few more trips out west, Eddie made a few trips back east—and the rest, as they say, is history. They grew together in lockstep over a love of live music, great (East Coast) food, the mountain ranges of Vermont and Colorado (respectively), and the ups and downs of being loyal Syracuse Orange fans. In 2018, Brittany moved to Colorado, and from there, their journey truly began—made complete by their beloved pug, Sherman, a home together in Sloan’s Lake, and a continued appreciation for everything that brought them together in the first place. Brittany spent many childhood summers on Skaneateles Lake, visiting family and friends and attending Lourdes Camp—first as a camper, then as a counselor—at Ten Mile Point. The Socia's also have deep roots tied to Skaneateles. Eddie's father lived on Lake View Circle, raising his children (Eddie's older siblings), and calling the lake home for many years. We can't wait to continue this life together, and look forward to celebrating with all of our favorite people in a place that means so much to both of us.

Skaneateles Marina is a full-service marina conveniently located 6 miles down the west side of&nbsp;Skaneateles Lake. They offer a&nbsp;variety of accessories and services, including rental of pontoon boats, canoes, kayaks and tubes. Take one of their boats for a cruise on the lake. ***For rentals of kayaks or paddleboards, please call the marina for lake conditions prior to coming to the marina.***

For anyone who doesn't live locally, we recommend flying into Syracuse Hancock International Airport. Skaneateles is roughly a 40 minute drive from Syracuse. You can also fly into any of the major airports of New York City, and get upstate via train (AMTRAK) or car rental. Renting a car is likely the easiest option. (4.5 hour drive approx.)
