Edith and Ryan briefly met their junior year of high school, however, it wasn't until senior year when their friendship flourished in ceramics class. After building a strong friendship, both Edith and Ryan knew they wanted to be more than just best friends and made things official after graduating high school. Despite Ryan enlisting in the Marine Corps and Edith going to college, with all odds against them, they made the long-distance work because they knew their relationship was special. Writing letters and FaceTime calls were the main source of communication for 4 years of their relationship. Although they were miles and miles away from each other, they still pushed each other to become better versions of themselves and supported each other’s dreams. Ryan was honorably discharged from the Marine Corps in February of 2020 and Edith graduated from California State University of San Marcos in May of 2020. Ryan proposed to Edith on July 31st, 2021, just one day before their 6th anniversary. Their friends and family long awaited this day, and now Edith and Ryan are so excited to share their special day with their loved ones.
