Like many modern love stories, ours began with a simple swipe on Bumble, followed quickly by the feeling that we’d stumbled into something rare. Our first date was at Hell’s Kitchen, where conversation flowed easily and everything felt natural from the very start. The night of our first date we not only had dinner, but went to 3 different bars to watch the Raiders lose a football game. Ever since Ryker has still been trying to convince me to become a Pats fan. It didn’t take long for us to make things official.

Although we didn’t meet through the Navy, it’s what placed both of us in the right place at the right time. And soon after, Ryker proved he was all in when he bought his very first pair of cowboy boots just so he could go line dancing with me. That’s when I knew he was serious.

Our journey together hasn’t been just about milestones it’s been about growth, adventure, and navigating real life side by side. We’ve faced grief for friends we miss every day and wish could be here to celebrate with us. Reminding us how precious every moment is.

Together, we’ve made memories across California, Ireland, and Boston; moved into our first apartment; and adopted our sweet dog, Millie, who instantly became part of our little family. Eventually, we bought our first home a place filled with laughter, love, and the everyday routines that make life together so special.

After months of “window shopping” in November 2024, Ryker finally asked the question on March 1st, 2025, during a beautiful moment on the beach in Cape Charles, Virginia. And of course, I said yes.

We are truly best friends who bring out the best in each other, and we wouldn’t want to do life with anyone else. We can’t wait to continue writing our story together.
