Adam and Eileen met February 25th of 2014. They met at a TGIFridays in Northern Virginia and decided to go see the movie Frozen. Fast forward a few weeks and things progressed into a whirlwind relationship. In the Spring of 2014 Eileen graduated from University of Maryland, Baltimore County and Adam turned 26. They chose to celebrate by taking a week long cruise. That cruise solidified the relationship; they both loved traveling and decided it would be the first of many adventures together.
Adam's brother, Reid, called them in November of 2015 with an offer they could not pass up. A friend of his was interested in selling her condo quick and cheap. With a little hesitation, Adam closed on the condo in January of 2016. The process was an adventure, lots of paperwork, a leaking ceiling, and a cruise full of inclement weather made it a very colorful process. After a whole lot of help from family and friends the condo was livable by March and they came to a stalemate. Adam wanted to live together prior to getting engaged. Eileen wanted to be engaged prior to moving in. Adam has won a few arguments during the relationship and that was one of them. Summer flew by and soon was the magical season of Fall.
Adam's cousin, Justin Page, of the band Totally 80s, was performing at Rocky Gap Casino over Eileen's birthday weekend. Saturday afternoon Adam, Eileen, and Abby drove out to Western Maryland and had dinner with Eileen's Dad. Abby happily distracted Eileen while Adam asked her Dad's permission. The concert was a fantastic blur of good music, strong drinks, wild dancing, and gambling. Sunday morning Adam drove to Dan's Rock in Frostburg, MD to see the "scenery". It was at the top of the mountain that Adam took Eileen by surprise and popped the question. Obviously she said yes!
