April 12, 2025 • Castle Rock, CO

Can I bring a plus one?

If the Bride and Groom have accounted for your plus one, it will state on the invitation and RSVP. When you RSVP, please list the name of your guest in the comments box. This is really important for our seating chart! If no plus one is stated, you cannot bring a guest.

What the hell do I wear?

We will be having a Semi-Formal/Cocktail dress code. This means floor length dresses, nice cocktail dresses, dressy pantsuits, and suit and tie. No tuxedos or elaborate gowns… but nicer than what you’d wear to a church. Kilts are highly encouraged if worn traditionally! (That means if you’re American and have no idea how to wear a kilt… wear a suit for the love of god) Absolutely no white. Please refrain from olive green. The groom has requested NO dress blues/military attire.

What should I expect with Colorado weather?

April in Colorado can either be perfect for a sunny picnic… or for snowboarding. We have no idea what the weather is going to do, so make sure you pack for sun and snow just in case! Temperatures in April range from 34-60 degrees Fahrenheit (1-15 degrees Centigrade)

Altitude Sickness

Please be aware that Castle Rock, CO is 6,224 feet (1,897 meters) above sea level. It is incredibly important that you drink significantly more water than you usually would, refrain from intense exercise for the first few days that you are here, and remember that ALCOHOL WILL EFFECT YOU DIFFERENTLY. Please be very careful.

Food and Drink

Hors d'oeuvres will be provided during cocktail hour. Dinner will then be served. Please choose an option when you RSVP and list your dietary restrictions. All dinners will be accompanied by a fresh roll, and a Steakhouse Wedge salad. Cake Cutting and other goodies will be served. Towards the end of the night, late night munchies will also be available. An open bar will be provided for a period of time thanks to the father of the groom (woohoo!) ABSOLUTELY no outside food or drink allowed. We can be literally kicked out if we bring anything into the venue.

Drinking and Driving

The venue will allow guests to leave cars in the parking lot overnight, until 10am. Please leave your car and call an uber, lyft, or have a designated driver for when you leave the venue.

Firearms

Absolutely no firearms are permitted on property for this event. The venue is located at a golf club in an upscale and perfectly safe neighborhood away from any cities or crime driven areas. However, if you need to travel with your firearm, you may carry freely in Colorado, and leave it in your car or hotel room during the event.

Devils Lettuce?

Colorado is a state that HAS legalized recreational and medical marijuana. However, the groom, wedding party, family, and many guests of the wedding serve in the US Military and cannot be around the drug. Yes, even secondhand smoke. We ask that you smoke in your car or wherever you are staying- NOT at the venue. No drugs. You will be kicked out. Doesn't matter who you are.

Kids?

There will be kids at this wedding from newborns to age 18. Have fun, but please be cognizant of our younger family members and friends. Kids meals will be provided by the chef. If your child is invited, it will state on the invitation. If they are not stated, you cannot bring your child.
