Our Wedding

Austin and Eiryn met how most people their age meet: online. They matched on a dating app in November of 2020, with Eiryn hooked by Austin's promise to make her one of his famous cheesecakes. Their first date was December 1st at City Line Bar in Albany, New York, where they spent four hours talking (about what, neither remembers). Austin was living in Bennington, Vermont, and commuting to Albany for his job at Apple. Eiryn was new to the area, having just started her PhD at University at Albany. The two very quickly fell in love and moved into their current apartment in Troy, NY, in June of 2021. Eiryn and Austin have spent the past few years navigating life together. There have been multiple pizza nights (from the beloved DeFazios, of course), trips to the Troy Farmer's Market, vacations to California, Arizona, and Utah, and many, many, many cheesecakes and donut runs. All of their adventures are shared with their adored cat, Cali, who admittedly will always love Austin more than Eiryn. The couple's goals for the future include Eiryn completing her PhD in archaeology, Austin finally getting a dog, and eventually buying their own house and continuing their travels. They are very excited for this next chapter in their lives, and are even more ecstatic to share it with you all.

Troy Waterfront Farmers Market (Summer)

This state park has beautiful views and hiking trails. We recommend the Indian Ladder trail. The park is about a 30 minute drive from Troy/Albany, but it is well worth it.

Thacher State Park

An orchard that offers apple picking, their own hard cider, and fresh cider donuts. It is close to Thacher State Park, so why not grab a cider and a few donuts after a hike?

Indian Ladder Farms

A great museum to check out while you're in town. Eiryn has spent many hours here working on her dissertation.

New York State Museum

Our favorite coffee shop! Austin’s order is the toffee coffee cold brew and Eiryn’s is the strawberry cold brew.
