Everything is pretty safe and accessible just stay in pairs of groups and be mindful of surroundings. You'll have a great time! There is so much to do for great prices.
You can use What's App when connected to wifi for communicating with anyone from the states, most phone providers have travel data.
Uber will be your best option for transportation or walking depending where. An uber ride in Medellin is very cheap with an average price being around $2.50 USD on longer rides (30-40 minutes)

Explore the aquarium! It's one of South Americas largest aquariums. There's lots to see and do! There is a very cool outside Science and physics playground and a big restaurant with delicious food. Entrance is around $10.00 a ticket.

Botanical garden located in the heart of the city. Great to explore and see some beautiful and exotic plants.
Visit the ZOO! so many amazing animals and plants to see. There's even a beautiful butterfly enclosure where they'll land right on you.
Want to do some shopping?! There’s so many stores to check out that we don’t have in the US. Great place to find some nice clothes, collectibles and more. It has a huge food court with so many yummy foods to try.
It's one of Medellin's largest malls with some very cool features.
A local smaller mall located near Rosales/Belen. Good for a little daytime walk or grab a quick bite to eat.
Watch a soccer game at one of Colombias most historic stadiums. Tickets must be purchased online ($15.00) and require a photo ID to enter. Get there early because lines can get really long to get in.
Have to give one of their pizzas a try! We got the Colombian pizza and half Hawaiian (pictured above) and it was so good!
They have some really different toppings than we do in the states and definitely worth a try!
There's shops, a small church and a beautiful view of the city. Its a good hike if you'd like the exercise but you can also drive up.

It takes you over the entire city and the views are INCREDIBLE!! (Picture below Eladia took from top of the ride) Its only about $2 USD.
Rides, campfire area, several restaurants and tickets are only 7000 pesos (1.79 USD)
This city is about an hour and a half to 2 hour ride by car or bus from Medellin. It is best to stay 1-2 nights there to enjoy the activities.
It has Antoquias biggest lakes! Great for swimming, boat rides, and jet skiing.

The view is like nothing you've ever seen before. If you're able, it is definitely something worth doing. There's drinks, snacks, souvenirs and restrooms at the top. Welcome to relax for as long as you need once you make it. Its not easy, Eladia did it 20 weeks pregnant and took many breaks along the way.
This is a great place to relax and have some great photos taken. You can do some shopping for souvenirs and candies. There are also many restaurants where you can enjoy a good meal; the food is fantastic!
