Keon Awopeju and Elaina Lanthripe began their relationship at Moore High School, where they had become friends in their drama class. From there they spent countless hours laughing and spending time together. After several months of coffee dates, late night drives, and movie nights, Keon would ask Elaina to be his girlfriend on December 13th 2019 after a night of dancing.
Shortly after this, the world was struck with a pandemic. Where the two would spend many hours on the phone talking to one another in each other’s absence. Elaina would graduate high school, and move on to attending University of Central Oklahoma in pursuit of a degree in Musical Theatre. Keon would begin attending Moore Norman Technology Center for a degree in Digital Cinema and Production in combination with finishing high school.

After four years of travel, date nights, road trips, and laughter, Keon would propose to Elaina at Scissortail Park on December 13th, 2023. Their four year anniversary. Now they prepare to be married to one another on May 22nd of 2025.
