Q + A

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the dress code?

The dress code for our wedding is formal or black tie encouraged. Please join us in celebrating our wedding by dressing your best. Joel and I would love to see you all dressed up!

That does black tie encouraged mean?

Black tie encouraged means that guests have the opportunity to wear their most formal attire to help the couple celebrate their elegant event. Guests are encouraged to wear an evening gown or formal suit, however, cocktail dresses and casual suits are also great options. Elaine and Joel, and the bridal party, will be dressed according to a black tie dress code. ***Please no jeans***

Are there any colors/styles guests should avoid wearing to the wedding?

We do not recommend wearing white, cream, or bright colors. We do recommend you wear neutrals, like black, grey, navy, or tan; or muted colors like plum, olive or burgundy.

What time should I arrive?

Our ceremony will start promptly st 4:45pm. Please arrive at 4:15pm in order to be comfortably early, park your car, and find seating. After the procession begins, late guests will be asked to wait to enter until the conclusion of the ceremony.

Can I bring a Plus One?

Our wedding is strictly RSVP only. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your invitation. If you have a plus one, your invitation will read "Mr./Miss XYZ and Guest." We want to ensure that we are surrounded by people we love on our wedding day, we hope you understand!

Are children welcome?

We can only accommodate those listed on your invitation. We love all of the kiddos in our lives, but if their name is not listed on the invitation, please refrain from bringing them. Please note that most of the children in attendance are part of the wedding party.

Do you have a newlywed fund?

We welcome those who wish to contribute to our future in a way other than gifts! We have a newlywed fund that will help us to enjoy our honeymoon, continue updating our house and kickstart our savings and financial future as a married couple! Please contact the bride or groom with any questions about contribution!

Is there a gift registry?

Yes! We have created a registry for items to update our home; we have several items tagged as group gifts! Please visit the registry tab on our wedding website for all things gift registry!

Can I take photos or videos during the ceremony?

We have an amazing photography and videography team who will capture every moment of our special day. We would like you to be fully present during our ceremony. We ask that you turn your ringers off and refrain from taking any photos during our ceremony. However, we encourage you to take as many photos and videos during our cocktail hour and reception!

Can I take and post photos of the wedding on social media?

We kindly ask that you wait until a day or two after the wedding to post photos! We hope everyone will be present and be busy enjoying the day to share on social media!

Whats the bar situation?

While we are still figuring out if we will provide any free alcohol, please expect a cash bar.

What if I don't RSVP on time?

If we do not receive your RSVP by our cutoff date, August 1, 2024, you will be marked as "not attending." We will miss you at the wedding and will be celebrating with you in spirit. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate late RSVPs, as we have to provide a total guest count to the venue and all vendors. Thank you for your understanding

What If I can't make it?

If you are unable to attend our wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP "no" so we can plan accordingly.
