Zach and I first met in 7th grade at a bowling ally in Marshalltown, IA. some of you may know it as the totem bowl. We a first met Zach I wouldn't have thought that just 4 years later we would be together and 12 years later we would be celebrating 8 years together. Since Zach and I went to different schools, we didn't really see each other often. We began to date other people and enjoy the rest of middle school and high school. But in November of 2013, that changed. Zach had posted some dumb story on Snapchat, so I responded to it. For 6 months Zach and I texted each other and snap chatted each other. We bonded over being goofy, and if you know us well that is just us being ourselves. Well, May came around and Zach and I still did not make plans on getting together or hanging out.. I was trying to get him to make the next move, since I made the first! So, doing what any girl would do in 2014 I made a tweet.. "I sure hope I'm not getting friend zoned." how embarrassing right? Well it worked! Zach then texted me and asked me to hang out. We drove around for hours in marshalltown just talking and getting to know each other. I then heard about a party some of the seniors at my school were having, nothing too crazy, just a bonfire and some basketball just to hang out. Zach and I stayed for a little while, till it was time to go home. We walked each other out, I went to give Zach a hug goodbye before getting into my car and then I quickly turned away. Little did I know Zach was leaning in to make the move and give me a kiss. I had no idea! Later that night Zach texted me about it and I just thought it was the funniest thing ever. Well, as you guys know the rest is history. Zach and I have been through everything together and we can't wait to experience so much more of this crazy life as a married couple. We are so excited to have you join us on our big day! See you soon.
