Landon and Elena first crossed paths at an Elmhurst College football game during the homecoming tailgate. The atmosphere was electric, filled with excitement and celebration. They found themselves hanging out together throughout the day and continued to enjoy each other's company.

Their next meeting happened while both were coaching a girls' basketball summer camp at Batavia High School. Landon approached Elena, asking how the rest of her year had gone. Elena, trying to place him, thought, “Wait, who is this guy?”

Despite the initial confusion, Landon and Elena began to build a strong chemistry while working together to develop the freshman squad. The girls at camp noticed their connection and, during their team trip to Purdue, broke out in song to out the budding relationship between their coaches.

From that point on, Landon and Elena's bond only grew stronger. They shared many fun dates and adventures, eventually moving in together and adopting their adorable fur baby, Lefty.

After 5 years of dating, Landon and Elena took a trip to one of their favorite spots, Sedona, Arizona. During a serene hike through the stunning red rocks, trees, and streams, Landon got down on one knee and asked Elena to marry him. Elena then exclaimed, "WTF!" Followed by an excited "YES!". The beauty of the landscape reflected the peacefulness of the moment as they both enjoyed this unforgettable experience together.
