We met for the first time by chance at Isabella's Spanish Tavern. I was writing a paper for nursing school, Zack was helping behind the bar.

Zack asked Elena to go out with him which started this whole adventure. Our first date was going to an art museum, where Zack climbed through one of the sculptures and almost got both of them kicked out of the musuem.

Even though we hadn’t known each other for long decided to invite Zack to California to see where I grew up.

We went on vacation to Puerto Rico. We stayed in Rincon.
The engagement
We were planning to go on a hike to this waterfall called "Cascada Gozalandia". Zack told me to wear a dress for the hike which I thought was a bit odd. He stated that is would be easier for me to take off to go swimming to only wear one piece of clothing versus a shirt and pants. Since Zack appealed to the proper logic, I complied without a second thought. As I was getting ready to go swimming, Zack told me to turn around to look at him. Stubbornly, I told him that I could look at him from the water. When he insisted, I told him to be patient that I would be getting in the water soon. Then our close friend Basia, who was holding the camera shouted out, Elena please turn around so I looked wondering what was wrong. That is how this picture came to be.
Otakon
Katsucon Feb 2022
We went to Katsucon in the Gaylord Hotel in National Harbor. We dressed up as the characters from Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. Zack dressed up as Link and I dressed up as Princess Zelda. We were part of a group ultimatly who we all made up characters from Super Smash Bros Brawl.
Texas January 2022
We traveled to Austin, Texas for Zack's friend Ben's wedding. It was a beautiful wedding. We really enjoyed our brief time in Austin.
