Jared and Elena met in Lincoln NE while they were going to separate colleges. They met on Tinder and watched Yellowstone on their first date.

Jared and Elena continued to see each other for several months before Elena moved back to Iowa. Jared would visit Elena in Iowa every other weekend until they decided to live together in Lincoln. They have happily lived together for 3 years and have acquired several fur babies; Stan Lee, Leroy, Arrow, and Sigrid.

After buying their first house in 2024, they went on a trip to Wyoming to visit their friends Lana and Jared Gibson. This is where Jared proposed to Elena at Vedauwoo.

Some of their favorite memories are dancing in the parking lot at Elena's old apartment, ice cream dates, sitting on the train tracks in Denton NE, road trips, exploring St. Thomas on their own, and morning walks with their dogs.
