You know the phrase, " Everything happens for a reason?"


Well, that's us.


Though we had only been dating nearly seven months, we had known each other for years. Four years to be precise. Through our shared friends/nerds we met, though neither of us were single at the time. We were both in terrible relationships which eventually ended and allowed us to work on ourselves at the same time. Over the years we went to multiple friends weddings and I danced with his daughter Abby at every single one. Even one wedding we sat across from one another the whole reception. He always says he didn't know I was single and how good I looked in that dress. What a gentleman. In Spring of 2023 we met again at my now, Matron of Honor Kelly's house party. Eric came and sat down next to me with a plate full of food. He said the deviled eggs were delicious which was awesome because I had made them. We talked through the night about so much. We even ended up having our first kiss.


Two days went by and Eric messaged me on Facebook asking me out. Kelly told me if I didn't she would murder me. I was a little worried because I thought I had too much alcohol that night. But said yes to the date because he was such a sweet guy and we did talk all night.


We met in Annapolis at a restaurant. The second he got out of his car and came to greet me, he hugged me and I knew that was it. He sounded like Andre the giant saying, "Hello Lady." If you know, you know.


Seven months later we are looking for houses in the new year and moving back to my hometown in Calvert County! We both knew it was love the moment we reconnected. And now we can't wait to celebrate with you!
