It all started in December 2021 with a swipe, a click, and a whole lot of curiosity. EJ was working out of state during the COVID chaos, while Elessia had just landed in Florida, settling into the quaint town of Auburndale. EJ, a native Floridian, took one look at the map and lovingly dubbed her new home “the sticks… aka KLAN LAND.” Romantic, right?

Despite the geography and EJ’s colorful commentary, sparks flew online. For nearly a year, they texted, FaceTimed, and built a connection that was equal parts deep and hilarious. Eventually, EJ declared, “Enough chit-chat—it’s time for a real date!” And wouldn’t you know it? He had just bought a house… 15 minutes from Elessia… in the very same “sticks” he once teased her about. Destiny? Or just poor real estate planning? You decide.
