Let's just say we fell for one another on our very first date--especially me (Avery) because I quite literally tumbled off an electric scooter speeding down a parking garage in downtown Tulsa while trying to keep up with Eli. No worries though! Eli just happened to have a first aid kit in his car and claims to this day that he saved my life that night. I don't know if he necessarily saved my life, but he most certainly left his mark in more ways than one. (I have a scar on my knee to prove it hahaha.)

That first date was amazing--I mean falling was not ideal--but everything else was ideal. We hadn't planned to go on a date that night, but some miscommunication led to dinner together, scootering together, and admitting our feelings for one another. From that day on, getting to know Eli became a highlight in my life. It was so easy to support, encourage, and love him. I felt as though God invited me into a relationship with Eli because it was just so simple and sweet.

After a little over a year of getting to know each other's families and friends, lots of study dates, jazz nights, and late-night karaoke car rides, Eli asked me a question I was so excited to answer...Will you marry me? I guess that leads us to right about now. We are looking forward to sharing our special day with you, and we are honored that you are in our lives. LET'S DO THIS FOREVER THING!
