Our Wedding

Eli and Lexi have known each other since they were little when Lexi's family moved to Water Valley. Eli's mom, Angie, often babysat Lexi and her brothers. Although their families were close, Eli and Lexi did not grow close until early 2023. They spent much of that year rekindling their friendship and began to favor each other's company. While their lives were in very different places, it became obvious to Eli that Lexi and Huck were the ones he wanted to be with. So, on December 12, 2023, Eli asked Lexi to date him because he was in love with her. Their first year of dating was not easy because Lexi was in nursing school and working weekends but they were determined to make things work. While it was a difficult year with a lot of growth for them both, it strengthened their relationship and respect for each other in a very special way. Eli and Lexi celebrated their one-year and Lexi's graduation from school in Gatlinburg, TN, in December of 2024. After Lexi had passed the nursing boards in February of 2025, life began to slow down for them both to enjoy each other's company. Eli surprised Lexi by proposing on March 6th, 2025, out on his Pepaw's land and celebrated after with family. Soon after, they lost Pepaw, which made Eli realize how truly precious time is. This led them to plan a wedding ceremony in a week to get married on March 30th, 2025. With a small, intimate ceremony just of family, Eli and Lexi got to join their lives together and begin their marriage. They are now living in Water Valley and happily enjoying their new family.

Austin is Eli's oldest brother and is a constant role model for him throughout every phase of life. He is the husband of Mary Sybil Hodge and the father of 3 beautiful kiddos. He is a deacon at First Baptist Church of Water Valley and leads a Sunday school class.

Jordan is Eli's older brother and his best friend. They spend most of their time outside working on random projects. Jordan is the husband of Millie Hodge and is the family's chef. All the Hodges frequent Jordan and Millie's to eat whatever Jordan has cooked on the grill. Uncle Dan and TT MilMils' house is all of the little's favorite place to be.

Maryana has been Lexi's best friend since 2018 when they played soccer together for Oxford High School. Throughout their high school soccer seasons, they continued to grow closer and became lifelong best friends. Maryana is now about to graduate from Ole Miss and loves to spend time with Huck. Maryana is always a constant support for Lexi and someone she looks up to greatly.

Presley is Lexi's best friend and cousin, though she considers her more of a sister. They have grown up together and supported each other through many different phases of life. Presley is set to start cosmetology school in the fall after finishing playing tennis for ICC. Presley loves being an auntie to Huck and helping Lexi with any and everything girly.

This is a less expensive option that offers an inside pool and a beautiful rooftop hangout! Located right off the Oxford Square!

While there are no hotels located in Water Valley, where the venue is, there are multiple Airbnbs and VRBOs that the couple encourages you to check out!

Travel

While there are many restaurants we love, Ajax is a family favorite and an often pick for us! Highly recommend! The bride favors their chicken and dumplings, and the groom likes it all! While every side is great, the sweet potato casserole is Lexi's favorite and the hashbrown casserole is Eli's!

If you are looking for a great steak, this is the only option! This is our favorite date night spot!! We highly recommend the fried green tomatoes as an appetizer, the filet mignon, and for sides - the groom favors the Brussell sprouts, while the bride favors the creamed corn and gouda mac &amp; cheese! You MUST leave room for dessert - their coconut caramel cream pie is to DIE for!!

Looking for a fast lunch? This is a MUST while in Oxford!! Both the bride and groom favor their burrito bowl, but their chicken club taco is great as well! Their chips and queso are a yummy addition!
