Their relationship began on the courts. Eli and Emily met in college as members of the pickleball club, and soon, they were studying together at coffee shops, attending church, skiing, and hiking. They quickly realized how much they had in common—shared values, a sense of humor, hobbies, and life goals. Then, on Emily’s last week of college, Eli asked her on their first official date, and that was the start of something special.

It’s been two years since they met, and with Jesus at the center, their friendship has blossomed. Through prayer and studying God’s Word together, Eli has shown himself to be the spiritual leader Emily had always hoped for. Even Emily’s dad approved of him, and with his blessing, Eli asked for Emily’s hand in marriage.

Surrounded by loved ones on August 16th, 2025, Eli and Emily are excited to start their new chapter as husband and wife.

As they prepare for their wedding, they reflect on all the moments that brought them closer and how love can grow from friendship, grounded in faith and nurtured by prayer.
