We believe Uber is the best option for transportation. Don't be alarmed, when you open the app in Mexico it requires an additional step to add your passport information before allowing you to call an Uber. This is because every uber you take gets connected to your passport, and your location if ever necessary could maybe be traced.

*Ubers are NOT allowed to pick up at the hotel lobby, so you have to walk to the street. *note* if staying at the RIU Palace the walk to the street is about a 5 min hilly walk, very doable for anyone active.

We have found taxis to be double the cost but highly encouraged by the hotels. The taxis the hotels do use are safe companies so no need to be alarmed but good to understand the differences between your options :)

For Airport Transportation, you can book private or shared transportation through Costco, Expedia, or most airlines.

Car Rentals at the airport are also available, Mexican car insurance will need to be paid for at pick up. It is all pretty reasonable costs to rent a car but please note: you will likely incur parking costs with your hotel.
