Is the wedding outdoors?

Weather in the mountains can be quite sporadic, even in the summer! Our ceremony is planned to be outdoors, though there is a backup indoor location on property if needed. The reception and dance are located indoors, in a climate controlled location. There is a patio right off the reception pavilion for guests to access and enjoy.

Where is the wedding?

Our wedding events are all located at Silvertip Golf Resort in Canmore Alberta. The Ceremony is located a short walk from the parking lot and is easily accessible. Cocktail hour, the Reception and the Dance are all located just off the parking lot, in the Pavilion.

What time should I arrive?

Please arrive at least 15-20 minutes early to the venue to ensure you have time to walk to the Gazebo from the parking lot and find a seat. The walk takes approximately 5 minutes from the parking lot. The ceremony will start precisely at 4:00pm.

*There will be a golf cart shuttle available for all guests with mobility issues, or anyone needing a little extra help getting down to the ceremony and back to the reception hall.

Where should I stay?

Silvertip does not have accommodations, however, there are plenty of hotels in Canmore! The closest hotel is MTN House by Basecamp located at the bottom of the mountain, however all of the hotels and lodging locations are easy to get to!

How should I get there?

Canmore is easy to get around if you are wanting to drive yourself! There is plenty of parking at Silvertip, all close walking distance to each of the wedding locations! If you would rather not worry about having your vehicle, there is the 3 Sister Taxi service that have reasonable rates to get you to and from Silvertip.

Will transportation be provided?

We're currently exploring options for coordinating taxi's or other rides for your convenience. There are multiple taxi companies available in Canmore for guests to use if needed. Other options may become available as well. More information about transportation arrangements will be shared closer to the wedding date, so please stay tuned for updates on our website.

How does the bar work?

Alcoholic beverages are available for purchase during the cocktail hour, reception and the dance. Drinks are $8 each and include highballs, specialty drinks, beer and wine. ALL tipping and taxes for drinks are paid for by us, and is not need to be done by the guests! It is pre paid for and unnecessary for our guests to feel the need to do :)
