John and Eliana met at the PSAT in 11th grade through their mutual friend, Hudson (the Best Man).

They got to know each other better through speech and debate their senior year of high school. At the NCFCA National Championship, they had to debate each other. Eliana won, but John received one of his favorite pictures in return.

After their first year of college, John and Eliana started courting. For their first date they dined at Bridge Street and ended the day with ice cream, Eliana's favorite dessert.

Eliana went with John's family to watch the SEC baseball semi-finals! Having played from age eight through high school, John loves baseball and was very excited to share it with Eliana.

John went ice skating for the first time! Eliana laughed a lot...and so did other people at the rink.

John came for the Junior/Senior dance at Bryan College!

Before attending an Arcadian Wild concert, John and Eliana grabbed a bite to eat at Tony's in Chattanooga, a favorite spot for Eliana's parents when they dated in high school.

Good summer times—best friends enjoying cherry chocolate ice cream on the front porch!

They went hiking at Pocket Wilderness in Dayton, TN, a week before John popped the question. It was beautiful! Later that day, John surprised Eliana with the TN aquarium, one of her favorite places!

Four years and four days after they met, John asked Eliana to marry him at Madison County Nature Trail on Green Mountain, a favorite walking place of theirs. She said yes!
