Q + A

Where is the wedding taking place?

Both ceremony and reception are at Riverdale Manor.

What time is the ceremony? What time is the reception?

The ceremony begins at 4:30 pm. Cocktail hour is 5:00 - 6:00 pm. The reception starts at 6:00 pm.

What is the dress code? What should I wear?

The attire is cocktail attire.

What weather should I expect?

Historically in Lancaster on this date the temperature is between 55 - 77 F. Of course, it is Spring, so there is no way to predict whether there will be rain or shine, but of course we hope for a clear and comfortable day!

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

The ceremony will ideally be outdoors. If there is rain, plan B is under a lovely gazebo. The reception is inside the Barn.

What should I expect after the ceremony?

After the ceremony, the immediate family of the couple will be taking pictures, while others can head to the cocktail hour where there will be Cocktails and Hors D’oeuvres.

Will transportation be provided? Is there easy parking at the venue(s)?

We are not providing any formal transportation for the events, but our ceremony and reception are taking place at the same venue. There is ample parking for those who feel comfortable driving, and Lyft or Uber are a great option for those who don’t. Please stay safe and default to a ride service or carpooling if you plan to drink.

How do I RSVP?

We sure hope you’ll be able to join us for your special day. With your invitation, you can follow a (link) and let us know your plans right here on our website.

When is the RSVP deadline?

Please get us your RSVP by April 25th at the latest, and the earlier the better so we can best prepare for the big day.

Can I bring my kids?

Since we have huge extended families, we’ve chosen to limit our guest list to 10-year-olds and over, and we hope you understand. Let us know if there is anything we can do to help.

Can I bring my partner?

We are at capacity with our venue which means we are sadly unable to accommodate additional guests. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your invitation. If you have any questions, please reach out.

Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend I stay?

Our Hotel Block is with The Comfort Inn, which offers a warm breakfast in the morning. See the "Travel" tab to make a reservation. Reservations should be made before May 3rd, which is when the rooms will become available to other clients. Another option is that if you would like to stay in an Airbnb, there are several in the area which help capture the charm of Lancaster County. If you’re interested in a list of options, you can text or call my father, Marty Katz, at 484-809-2432 or katstem@aol.com, for more information.

Are the ceremony and reception location wheelchair accessible?

Yes. There is a ramp to get into the Riverdale Manor first floor, and there are bathrooms on the first floor. The ceremony will be outdoors hopefully and the ground may be a little bumpy which is important to keep in mind.

What type of food and drink will be served during the cocktail hour and reception?

There will be hors d'oeuvre which includes a bruschetta bar, crustini platter, and more, which will be followed by a delicious dinner! There will be cocktails and other drinks available at the open bar for those 21 and over.

I have dietary restrictions, what’s the best way to communicate that with you?

We definitely want to make sure you enjoy your time and meal on our wedding day, please let us know when you RSVP (link) about your dietary needs.

Will there be an open bar?

Yes.

Are you registered? Where should we ship your gift?

We have decided not to register anywhere as we currently have limited space in our apartment. If you would like to contribute anything we have set up a “honeymoon fund” which will either go towards our big adventure or even a down payment on our future home! Thank you very much ❤️

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

We love photos! We do ask that you refrain from taking photos during the ceremony, we’d like that time to be unplugged. For the rest of the wedding, we encourage guests to have a blast, and you are welcome to take and post photos on social media.

I have a question that I just can’t find the answer to, what is the best way to contact you?

Feel free to text either Dean or me to ask your question!
