Our story began a little over three years ago, long before either of us knew where God would lead us, in the most meaningful place, church. We were strictly friends until a year and a half later he slid into my DM’s. What started as simple conversations soon grew into something neither of us expected but both of us prayed for. A simple message that sparked conversations, laughter, and a connection that felt easy and natural from the very beginning.A little while later, he asked if I’d like to go to a bonfire for his brother-in-law’s young adults group. I imagined a small gathering. What I walked into was… basically his entire family plus four people from the group! Instead of being overwhelmed, I felt completely welcomed. It was one of the first moments I realized I had found a place not just with him, but with the people he loves.Not long after those first messages, he showed up in a big way: helping me move into my very first place. Looking back, that day was one of our unexpected milestones. He helped with such kindness, patience, and genuine care… qualities that made it clear he was someone special. We’ve now been together for a little over a year and a half, building a relationship that has been filled with faith, laughter, late-night talks, and a deepening friendship that we cherish every day.Elias proposed in the sweetest, most thoughtful way, so perfectly “us.” He planned a picnic where we spent the time drawing and talking. Then he had me close my eyes for our drawing reveals. When I opened them, he was down on one knee holding a hand-drawn sign that read “Will you marry me?” Of course, I said yes to marrying my best friend.Now we can’t wait to celebrate this next chapter with you.
