Dominick made up his mind during a trip to New Mexico to see the solar eclipse (October 2023). He designed the engagement and wedding ring with the help of a friend (Thanks Chuck & Coleen!).

During Christmas of 2023, Dominick decided he would propose at the dog park. The question now was: when?

Fast forward to February 24, 2024, Elida worked that morning, they went house hunting that afternoon and after feeding the dogs they decided to go to the dog park. They walked around for about an hour and Dominick asked if he could ask a question. Elida assuming he was going to ask what she wanted for dinner said yes and he ran with that...

She didn't believe he actually had the ring with him at first but when he pulled out the ring she began to cry and he asked "Will you marry me?". She said yes!!!
