Our adventure began during the summer of 2020 on a Lake Minnetonka charter boat. Introduced by our mutual friend, Matt Dorn (best man), we felt an immediate connection, chatting and laughing the night away. Although it was our first time meeting, Andrew had heard plenty of great things about Elisa over the years, while Elisa heard her fair share of crazy stories about Andrew! The very next day, Andrew asked Elisa out, marking the start of a memorable summer together. After parting ways due to timing not being right, we reconnected the following spring and began dating.

Our decision to commit to one another marked the start of a lifelong partnership filled with devotion, growth, and joy. Soon after we began dating, Elisa moved to New York City to complete her Master’s degree while Andrew held down the fort in Minnesota. Despite the distance, our bond strengthened as we navigated the challenges & opportunities of a long-distance relationship (and our screen time hit an all time high spending countless hours on FaceTime). Elisa then moved to Rochester, MN, marking the transition to what we playfully called our “medium-distance relationship.” Together, we explored a new city and continued to build the foundation of our relationship.

Andrew couldn't wait to pop the question and proposed on August 19th, 2023, just a week before Elisa moved back to the Twin Cities. Leading her to the benches where we shared our second date, Andrew got down on one knee and Elisa said YES! The surprises continued with an engagement party attended by close family and friends, held on the very charter boat where we first met three years earlier. The night was filled with laughter and love, and we can’t wait to continue the celebration with you all on November 16th, 2024!
