Christmas Day 2021 - Melanie and Dan Sabath, idle from Covid, decided to put their matchmaking skills to the test. A text to Ellie inquired if she would be willing to go on a blind date with some boy named Brock Hewitt. Our dinner at The Perk went better than either of us could have expected. The only catch was that Ellie lived in Texas and would be returning the next day. The next four months apart consisted of texting, a 6 hour FaceTime call (or 2), Seinfeld Zoom dates, and plenty of giggles.

Fast forward to May, Ellie finally moved back to PA! We spent the next month hanging out (every day), and it became clear to us that it was more than a heart sparkle. On June 18th, 2022, we made things officially official.

The next 4.5 months were SO FUN, we figured we might as well do it forever!!!! On the lovely autumn afternoon of October 30th, Brock got down on one knee to ask Ellie to be his wife. :) And Ellie said, YES!!!

We are so excited for May to celebrate with our favorite people. Moral of the story - blind dates do work!
