Where are the ceremony and reception taking place?
The ceremony will be at The Church of Christ The King in Minneapolis. It will then be followed by a short interlude with the reception starting at 4:30pm at Genesis Ranch in Rosemount. The ceremony will be indoors. However, the reception will be outdoors, so dress accordingly!
How far is Genesis Ranch from the Church?
It is about a 30 minute drive. Uber and Lyft options are available. They cost ~$40. Additionally you may want to rent a car, coordinate transportation with a friend or utilize our shuttle bus service (see below).
I know you're thinking that's super far. Will there be a shuttle bus? 🚌
Yes; we will have a shuttle bus available to take guests to the reception venue from the Hilton Garden Inn (i.e. the hotel block) prior to the reception starting. At the end of the evening, we will also have a shuttle available to take guests from the reception venue back to the Hilton Garden Inn.
If possible, please notify Elisabeth (714.833.2559) if you plan on using the shuttle bus service, so she can get an estimated headcount.
What is the attire?
We want you to be comfortable, and we want you to have a great time dancing! Therefore, the dress code is dressy casual attire. Think midi dress or sundress and dress shirt with khakis. If your heart so desires, you can dress up, too! Whatever "comfortable" means to you and whatever makes you feel beautiful!
Weather Tip for our Warm Weather Guests ❤
Check the weather forecast closer to the date. Fall in Minnesota can vary, so having an additional layer might be a good idea! There are heaters and a fire pit at the reception venue for added warmth should the evening get cold.
Shoe Tip 👠
This is an outdoor venue with some lovely nature walks on site. It is around 26 acres in total and has grassy areas for games and casual strolls. There are also a number of gravel roads. We suggest bringing a pair of comfortable shoes if you want to explore!
Do you have a hotel block for out of town guests?
Yes! Information regarding the hotel room block is located under the "Travel" tab. The hotel is located 20 minutes from the reception venue. If you prefer to stay in the downtown area, please do not hesitate to reach out for further suggestions!
Am I allowed to bring a plus one?
If your invitation says ‘and guest’ or includes your plus one’s name, then absolutely! RSVP for them and bring your favorite person to join the celebration!
Are children allowed?
We adore your little ones, but due to limited space, we can only accommodate children who are part of our wedding party. Thank you so much for understanding!
What is the parking situation at Genesis Ranch?
There is ample free park at the reception venue!
The DJ and drinks were hype, but how do I get home? 🍾
Overnight parking is allowed in limited circumstances. If you cannot drive home and a vehicle must be left overnight, it needs to be in the parking lot and must be removed by 8am the next day.
Lyft and Uber are also great options getting to and from the venue as well as the shuttle bus service. Please have fun and stay safe!
