We had our first date at a cozy piano bar in the heart of Harrisburg. Over a plate of brisket fries and a bottle of wine, we swapped stories and shared laughter. Both of us knew a second date was in order. And a third. And a fourth...

Sikai invited Elisabeth to have dinner. The official story was that we'd be meeting some of his old friends from high school and that we'd be going to one of our favorite places—The Hotel Hershey.


As we waited for these friends to arrive, Sikai suggested taking a walk around the fountain in the courtyard. He'd been acting strange, and she'd just chalked it up to nerves when she jokingly asked, You're not going to propose are you?


When he answered that yes, he was going to propose, she blacked out and only came to long enough to register the photographer in the corner and Sikai down on one knee.

Just a short time later, it was time for Elisabeth to return the question. Venturing back to where it all began, at a table in the very same piano bar, Elisabeth proposed back to Sikai.
