This is the first picture that Elisabeth and Nathan have together! They met during Elisabeth's freshman year Southern Adventist University, where Nathan was a sophomore. They were both biology majors and had many mutual friends, and over the course of college became friends.

Now we fast-foward a few years! During Elisabeth's junior year and Nathan's senior year, a few unplanned but meaningful conversations brought them closer together. They started spending more time talking on hikes and group hangouts, and soon enough, their friendship slowly turned into something more as they both began to develop an interest in each other.

Elisabeth and Nathan were both excited to continue to get to know each other better. Life changed when the COVID-19 pandemic shut down the school, sending everyone home to finish the year. In their last week on campus, Nathan and Elisabeth shared their feelings and were excited to discover they felt the same way about each other.

During the COVID-19 quarantine, Elisabeth and Nathan talked every night. Elisabeth was studying for the MCAT in Hawaii while Nathan was in California, preparing for his first year at Loma Linda University School of Medicine. When travel restrictions eased a bit in the summer, Elisabeth decided to visit Nathan so they could spend time together in person.

Nathan received his white coat and officially started medical school!

On August 7, Nathan officially asked Elisabeth to be his girlfriend! A few days later, Elisabeth flew back to Tennessee to start her senior year of college, marking the beginning of their year of long distance.

Nathan flew to Southern to surprise Elisabeth during one of his medical school breaks. It was one of the only times in Elisabeth's life that she had ever been totally, completely surprised! They cherished the few special days they had together before Nathan had to return to California.

Nathan flew to Hawaii to spend part of Christmas break with Elisabeth and her family.

And Elisabeth came to California to visit Nathan during spring break.

The following summer, Elisabeth started her first year of medical school at Loma Linda University School of Medicine and the year of long distance was finally over!

Elisabeth and Nathan were finally in the same place and excited to date in person, while adjusting to life together as busy medical students.

Nathan then began his third year of medical school and Elisabeth began her second year.

They celebrated 2 years of dating <3

Elisabeth then began her third year of medical school, and Nathan started his master's year, getting a masters of public health degree. He did this so he could complete his fourth year of medical school at the same time as Elisabeth, allowing them to match to residency together.

They celebrated 3 years of officially dating!

On November 11, after months of planning and organizing so that friends and family could be there for their special day, Nathan proposed to Elisabeth at a beautiful park in LA!

They were able to celebrate the most special day with their family and friends.

They excitedly began planning for their wedding and found their wedding venue!

And found some yummy wedding food!

Nathan and Elisabeth have begun their fourth year of medical school and are applying to residency together this September. They took graduation photos in June in preparation for their graduation in May 2025!

They are happily looking forward to their wedding in October and to celebrate with you!
