We first met on Tinder back in August of 2022 where Matthew and I matched. We started talking instantly, and he asked me if I ever went train-watching. We then started chatting on Snapchat after a few days of texting and Matthew taught me about different types of trains. Eventually, we went to FaceTime where he was at the tracks watching trains back in Pennsylvania when I was in Ohio. After being on FaceTime for a while, he told me he was coming back to Ohio where he went to UNOH to be a mechanic.


The day after he came back to Pennsylvania, I went over to where he lived with some roommates. Saw each other for the first time in person and we both had happy tears. The first thing we did was go to his favorite spot to watch trains and go out to dinner at Yamotos. We started hanging out more as he told me his interests and I talked about my Disney obsession. After a few trips to get food, watch movies, and train watching close to where I lived. We watched my favorite movie UP where Carl and Ellie were getting married when Matthew said, That's my dream to get married and grow old with my partner. Towards the end of the movie, Matthew asked me to be his girlfriend. Fast forward to September of 2022 when we are on the first actual date to the Columbus Zoo and the train store.


I went with Matthew to Pennsylvania in December of 2022 where I got to meet his family, got to try Wawa for the first time (very delicious), and went to an Amish Market. He kept a secret for months about going on a Christmas lights date. Matt had took me to Longwood Gardens (which I haven't even heard of) and they had the most beautiful lights there.


Eventually, I moved in with Matthew in April of 2023 with his roommates. After a couple of months, we decided to move into our own place. In July of 2023, we got our first apartment together as a couple. Eventually we got Firefly, our cat who we instantly had a connection with. The rest is history.
