Eli and Liz met for the first time on June 17th of 2019 during their Freshman year orientation (Star day) for Purdue university. Both of them were entering into Purdue as exploratory majors and coincidentally both chose the same date to go visit Purdue. As you may be able to tell, Liz and Eli's initials are both EW. Due to this they were put into the same small group during their orientation. It began as a failed networking attempt, a mere instagram handle exchange, but neither understood what this may hold for their futures. On August 13th of 2019 both of them moved onto Purdues campus to begin their Boiler Gold Rush week. Also on August 13th, Eli decided to put his networking skills to use and took a shot direct messaging Liz on instagram. The line went something like "Hey! You on campus yet?" to which Liz replied "Yes lol". Here Eli took his shot with the classic line "Well i'm from West Lafayette so if you want I can show you around!" to which liz agreed and they exchanged snapchats and phone numbers. From there on out, Eli and Liz set forth on their own Boiler Gold Rush week, doing fountain runs and seeing how much free food they could get their hands on. From this point on, Liz and Eli became inseparable. From trying all sorts of crazy foods on campus to trying to figure out the city bus system, Eli and Liz meshed perfectly.

On August 27th of 2022, Eli and Liz celebrated their 3 year anniversary and their everlasting love. Eli planned a very elaborate date with dinner reservations and told Liz they had to open her gift at the fountain that they had their first date at. Liz thought this was super special but did not necessarily think anything of it. As Eli and Liz began opening gifts at the fountain, Eli had
instructed Liz to open one gift before the other. The first gift was a glass plaque that had a map of west lafayette and had a heart on the spot where they knew they found the one. Next, Eli had Liz open her second gift, a card which her instructed her to read out loud. Before Liz could reach the bottom of the card she knew what was going to be asked and looked up to see the love of her life asking her to Marry him. She of course said yes and they celebrated with drinks and dinner at their favorite restaurant, East end.
