Elise and Jake formally met at a sorority date function their sophomore year at Wake Forest University. But they weren't there together! Gasp! *Jake says he actually met Elise during freshman year orientation, but Elise does not remember that :)

Elise and Jake met again on a senior year spring break trip to Punta Cana.

After spring break, Jake and Elise continued to get to know one another. Jake invited Elise to his fraternity beach weekend and they had lots of fun!

Elise and Jake graduated from Wake Forest University. Jake was headed to work in New Jersey, Elise was headed to work in North Carolina. They decided to formally start dating anyways! :)

Elise and Jake dated looooong distance for ~3 years! Jake lived and worked in New Jersey and Elise lived, worked and went to graduate school in North Carolina and Washington, D.C.

After 3.5 years of long distance dating, Elise moved to New York City in August 2021 and Jake was so happy! Yes, that is a french fry.

Elise and Jake dated for ~3 more years, but this time, in the same place!

Elise and Jake moved in together in Hoboken, New Jersey during the summer of 2023. And this is Elise's favorite Christmas ornament ever.

Jake proposed and Elise said yes! And it was all captured by a sneaky hidden GoPro camera. Yay! And now, you’re all caught up!
