Our Wedding

It all started in 2014, when Elise and Alex were starting off freshman year of high school. They were in Art 1 their first semester together, and Alex would say this was the first time Elise caught his eye. As freshman year continued, countless walks to class were had asking about one another's days, and their friendship soon started to blossom. Sophomore year started and shortly after, Alex decided he wanted to take Elise to the homecoming dance. At this point, both Alex and Elise realized they wanted to be more than friends. On November 11th, 2015, Alex asked Elise if she wanted to go for a walk in his neighborhood. On that walk, he decided to ask her to be his girlfriend, and of course, she said yes! After high school came to a close in 2018, Elise decided to attend college at the University of Detroit Mercy, and Alex at The Ohio State University. Although both of them were excited to start college, they were both very aware of the fact that this meant long distance for them. After 4 long years of texts, FaceTime calls, and weekend visits, long distance was officially over! They both graduated college to soon begin their respective graduate school's in Columbus, OH. This has been such an exciting time for them getting to be back in the same city together! At this point, after dating for 8 years, they could confidently say they had checked off so many of life's milestones hand in hand. On New Years of 2023, Alex decided to ask Elise to go on another walk in his neighborhood, this time with a different and bigger question in mind. He surprised her with a beautiful proposal where he asked her to marry him, and of course she said YES! They both cannot wait to start this next chapter of life together May 25th, 2025 celebrating with all of their friends and family.
