The proposal was a complete surprise to Elise...is how it should of gone. Instead she knew about it days before as there was something that looked uncannily like a ring box in my jeans pocket.

I was waiting for the right place which eventually was the last day of our holiday in Ireland 🇮🇪, Cliffs of Mohar. I waited for the moment (when no American tourists were around!) and asked the question.

She said yes, and she told me not just that we were overlooking a 700ft drop, and that's why you're here reading this.

From York direction<a href="https://goo.gl/maps/YYrrR8uYP4s" target="_blank">Google Maps</a>- Take the A64 towards Leeds- Take the Tadcaster exit onto the A162 (5.7 mi)- Turn left onto Raw Lane (B1223) (1.1 mi)- Take the 2nd left and follow the road to the end, the church is on the right (0.6 mi)- Parking is available on the road, keep the road passing the church clearFrom A1/Leeds direction<a href="https://goo.gl/maps/37QCpoBmb712" target="_blank">Google Maps</a>- Take the A64 towards York- Take the Tadcaster/Sherburn exit onto the A659 (1.5 mi)- Turn right onto Garnet Ln, 1st right (0.8 mi)- Turn right onto Moor Ln (0.4 mi)- Turn left onto Mill Ln (1.1 mi)- At the end of the road turn right onto A162 (0.4 mi)- Turn left onto Raw Lane (B1223) (0.9 mi)- Take the 2nd left and follow the road to the end, the church is on the right (0.6 mi)- Parking is available on the road, keep the road passing the church clear

York is only around 20 minutes away with loads of hotels to pick from! Leave enough time in the morning as traffic will get busy around the centre
