We met through Greek life and mutual friends while attending Winona State University. Living just across the alley from each other, we quickly became close friends, spending countless hours socializing, studying, and playing beer pong. After a New Year’s Eve party, complete with Gavin’s unforgettable mullet wig, we made it official, and haven't looked back.

One of our first dates was at a Minnesota Wild hockey game, where Gavin surprisingly found himself as a fan of a Minnesota sports team. Over time, he has returned the favor by successfully converting Elise into a Green Bay Packers fan. After graduating, we moved to Milwaukee and are currently settled in Hartland, WI, near Lake Nagawicka with our dog, Marshall.

We love spending time with family and friends in both states, going to concerts, riding motorcycles, trying new restaurants, and running our sourdough bread business together. After five wonderful years of dating, Gavin proposed during the Larson family’s annual camping trip in 2024.
