It's not your typical "love story" haha. But then again, everything we do together is not very typical.

One day Elise and Will Mascio (one of Elise's best friends) were really bored and he said "you should try online dating!" (see already super romantic! Lol) Elise was skeptical and immediately said "no way." Will always pushed Elise to try new things and said "come on!!! It'll be fun! DO IT FOR THE STORY!!!" Elise shrugged her shoulders and said "fine, but if I don"t like it I'm deleting it right away."

Elise didn't take the online dating seriously and thought of it as a big joke but kept hearing Will in her head say "DO IT FOR THE STORY!" So she ended up with two dates anyway. Both guys were duds and Elise decided online dating just wasn't for her. She was ready to be done and give up but suddenly received a message from one guy that caught her attention.

Colin messaged her with the cheesiest line NO ONE had ever said to her and she couldn't refuse because it made her laugh so hard! (And to this day she's still a bit embarrassed that she fell for this pick up line.) Elise and Colin got to talking and after some stupid jokes and funny banter she said "Okay, I'll give this one a chance."

It was time for Elise and Colin's date and Elise was nervous meeting in person. She expected the date to be a dud just like the other two. So she said to herself "after this one, I'm done. I can't do this anymore. If anything maybe I'll get a free dinner out of this haha." Elise timidly walked up to the only guy standing outside of the restaurant and thought "Oh, great He looks miserable." While Colin on the other hand thought "Wow, she looks just like her picture! haha." They met face to face and hugged each other to diffuse the awkwardness of introductions. They sat down and all of a sudden their conversation was like rapid fire. They had more in common than they thought. From the tv shows "Parks and Rec" and "The Office", to their love for traveling and admiration of tiny houses/storage container homes. The date turned out longer than they thought and they were both smiling by the end. Later that night, Elise called her friends to tell them about her date and surprisingly said "He was REALLY nice!" While Colin called his best friend Pat (the best man) and said "She was a really cool girl."

And the rest is history!!! Shout out again to Will Mascio! Just because he said "DO IT FOR THE STORY" we actually have "Our Story."
