Kenny and Elise’s story began in the fall semester of 2023 at Cedarville. Although they knew of each other before this semester, they never noticed one another's existence. This was all until Elise started practicing late at night due to her busy schedule. During her nightly practices, Kenny would often come in and interrupt her practice. Elise was initially annoyed that Kenny was constantly interrupting her planned out schedule for the day. He did not realize this and kept bugging her. Although it started out as just friendly visits, Kenny realized that he would often look forward to practicing at night and interrupting Elise’s practice sessions. This continued throughout the semester as eventually Elise also looked forward to the practice room break-ins.

Fast forward to spring semester Kenny and Elise were still chatting for hours in the practice rooms. Eventually during one of their evening chats, Elise told Kenny that she had feelings for him, hoping in return that he would not feel the same and she could get on with her life. Instead, Kenny said he felt the same and took her out on a date that very weekend. Over Bibibop, they discussed everything under the sun and went roller skating for their second date. During that date Kenny asked Elise to be his girlfriend on February 3rd, 2024. The next year and a half was filled with many memories of driving back and forth to see each other, chocolate milkshakes, sushi, hiking, Texas Roadhouse, rubik's cubing, and making music together. On June 7th, 2025 at Latham Park, Kenny asked Elise to marry him. She said yes!
