Both wedding ceremony and reception will be held at Independence Grove 16400 W Buckley Rd (Rte 137) in Libertyville, IL. Go through the main gate and follow the road to the right to the visitor center. Parking is free in the parking lot, follow signs to the Native Garden for the ceremony.

Saturday, September 14th, 2024. Ceremony will begin promptly at 5pm. Cocktail hour will begin immediately after the ceremony at 5:30pm. Reception will begin after cocktail hour at 6:30pm. Dinner and dancing until 11:30pm.

You can plug the address into Google Maps and drive, free parking at the venue. If you will be booking a room through our room block at the Marriott Lincolnshire Resort, transportation will be provided to and from the venue, the hotel is about a 20 minute drive from the venue. If you're into public transportation, the Metra Milwaukee District North train line stops at the downtown Libertyville station, then hop in a 5 minute Uber to the venue. For out of town guests, the closest airport is Chicago O'Hare airport, hotel and venue are about a 45 minute drive North.

For wedding guests staying at the Marriott, transportation will be provided. The first shuttle to the venue leaves the hotel at 4:15pm, this is the last shuttle that gets you to the venue in time for ceremony. Another shuttle to venue will depart hotel at 5:15pm. You will miss the ceremony but make the reception. You do you, but we’d love to see you at the ceremony!

A block of rooms has been reserved at The Marriott Lincolnshire Resort, link in the Travel section. The Marriott Lincolnshire is a local hotel with lots to do! Swim, golf, relax, watch the game over drinks and food at the onsite bar/restaurant.

Because this forest preserve holds a special place in our hearts! We've spent so much time enjoying the area, canoeing, fishing, walking, dancing to the live music during the Summer Concert Series, and more. It's a beautiful preserve that allowed us to have the outdoor ceremony of Elise's dreams and the indoor reception of Kevin's ('cause, bugs)! Plus, the food is delicious!

We love all your kids and know what amazing parents you are. But even the best parents need a break sometimes! Take a break at our wedding, which has been planned as an adults only event. : )
