Q + A

What does Elise and Iain mean by formal attire?

Women: Dresses that are hitting below the knee or floor length are often considered to be formal attire. Formal dresses are made of nice materials (no t-shirt dresses please) and can come in any solid color or pattern. End of April is considered spring, so pastel colors or flower patterns work well in this case. Think of a dress that makes you feel good and dressed-up, but not as far as prom dress fancy. Men: A suit including dress pants (no jeans), button down shirt, suit jacket, and a tie is a great option for a formal wedding. Any color suit works for our occasion; it is spring weather in April, so think lighter material if able. Tuxedoes are not required nor recommended. It's fancy...but not black-tie fancy. In short, we want our wedding to feel elegant and fun so please dress for the occasion and treat yourself to looking gorgeous/handsome on our special day. :) :) :)

Will the event be indoors or outdoors?

The venue is combined indoor/outdoor. Weather permitting, the hope is for the ceremony to be outdoors and the cocktail hour to be outdoors as well. The ceremony area chosen is fully paved, so no worries about grass or dirt/mud. The cocktail hour is in a semi-covered area also fully paved. Outdoor games in grass will be available for use throughout cocktail hour. All reception festivities will be inside the venue.

Where should I stay and how do I get to the venue?

Please check out the Travel Section of the website to see what hotels are around (20 minutes or less to venue location). We also will provide hotel block information for the hotel which provides shuttle services to the venue. Please keep in mind there are very few options around the venue on Airbnb or Vrbo sites.

When do I need to RSVP for the wedding?

Please RSVP by March 25, 2026.

If I drive to the venue can I leave my car at the venue overnight?

YES! This is highly encouraged. Please either take a shuttle or get an uber/lift back to your hotel if drinking. :) Please retrieve your car by 10am Sunday Morning.

What time should I arrive to the venue for the wedding ceremony?

Please arrive between 2:45pm and 3:15pm to allow for the wedding party to finish up pictures and give enough time to find your seats before the 3:30pm ceremony start time.

Will there be an open bar?

Yes. :) Feel free to tip the bartenders with cash if able.

Can I invite a plus one?

All plus ones and family members are stated on the invitation envelope you received. If there are individual inquiries regarding this question, please communicate with Elise or Iain.
