Newport is just across the green bridge, offers a wide variety of restaurants, bars, and nightlife (borders on the expensive side). Fresh seafood and on the water dining, walkable streets and shops. The Bellevue Mansions, Cliff Walk, and Ft Adams are also big draws to the area!

State park at the South end of Jamestown with lighthouse and beautiful views of the bay and Newport. Worth a trip if you are not from the area!
