The Beautiful Bride:
Elizabeth Ruth Baer. Born on March 31st, 1991 to Karen and David Baer. She is an avid lover of Disney, Books, and the Theatre.
The Gregarious Groom:
Kyle William Carlson. Born on August 8th, 1989 to Sharon Payne. He is a theatre enthusiast, an extremely average disc golfer, and all around handsome man.
Kyle and Elizabeth are a classic tale of meeting at the right place and the right time. Although they knew many of the same people and spent much of their time in the same places, the pair did not officially meet until 2016.
In the summer of 2011, they had their first -almost- meeting during "Plaid Tidings", performed at Theatre at the Mount. Kyle was one of four cast members in the show, and Elizabeth ran follow spot from up on the theatre catwalk. During the show, she was asked to run down from the catwalk and speak a couple lines of dialogue on stage, hand a box to a cast member, and then run back to her post on spotlight. The cast member she interacted with was Kyle. (In later years, Kyle had to prove to Elizabeth this interaction happened by showing her the recording of the show, as she had no recollection of speaking to him before their official meeting in 2016. But the interaction had stuck with Kyle).
In 2012, Elizabeth moved to Florida; the same year Kyle took a job at Narragansett Regional High School working for Elizabeth's father, Dave.
Fast forward to the summer of 2016; Kyle took a birthday trip to Florida and had a celebratory dinner at Be Our Guest restaurant in the Magic Kingdom. A restaurant Elizabeth worked at until just 2 months prior to Kyle's trip.
The pair finally met in the fall of 2016 when Elizabeth moved home to Massachusetts after a summer internship on Long Island. Kyle was the house manager for Theatre at the Mount's "Nunsense", and wanting to see her sister-in-law perform, Elizabeth signed up to usher the show. At that time, Kyle was working on a plan to move to Florida himself. Needless to say, those plans fell through. Kyle and Elizabeth have been together since April 17, 2017.
Since that time, they have had many adventures together. Attending several Opening Days at Fenway Park, compulsively buying Disney World Annual Passes, hilariously attempting to ski at Stratton Mountain and enjoying a hot tub afterwards on a crisp 20 degree evening, having multiple date nights to see shows such as Finding Neverland, Something Rotten, or Dear Evan Hansen.
These adventures (and many more) continued. In September of 2022, they went on another adventure to Disney World. Somehow, Kyle managed to keep the secret of him planning on proposing during this trip from Elizabeth (even though probably everyone else around her knew). On the first day of their trip, they had dinner plans at Be Our Guest Restaurant in Magic Kingdom. Kyle suggested that they get a photo in front of Beast's castle "while the sun is still out." Which really just meant, "I can't hold it in any more!" While taking photos, Kyle paused the photographer and asked Elizabeth to marry him. (neither of them can remember what was said, Kyle went off script, and Elizabeth only was focused on making sure she said "yes" at the right moment).
And that, friends, is why they have sent you a link to this website. They are ready to say "I do" for the rest of their lives and want you to be a part of their magical day. (Also, they would like more witnesses to remember the things that are said).
