How do I get to Estes Park?
We recommend flying into Denver International Airport. It is about a 1 hour 30 minute drive from the airport. We have a shuttle option listed on our “Travel and Accommodations” page.
Do you have a hotel block reserved?
Memorial Day weekend is a busy time in Estes Park, and hotel blocks are not offered for the high season. We recommend booking as soon as you solidify your travel plans in order to secure the best room rates.

The dress code is cocktail attire. We suggest the following:
Women - knee-length, tea-length, or midi dress and comfortable shoes for outdoors.
Men - suit or sport coat; tie optional.
Here is a helpful site for reference.
What is the easiest way to get to and from your wedding venue?
We are pleased to offer shuttle service between YMCA of the Rockies and Wild Basin Lodge. Shuttles will depart from the Longs Peak Lodge at 3:15pm and 3:30pm. Please be sure and arrive 10 minutes before the scheduled shuttle time.
There is a large parking lot at Wild Basin Lodge with 75 spaces for anyone who would like to drive themselves.
What time should I arrive to the ceremony?
The ceremony will begin at 4:30pm. We recommend arriving 30 minutes early in order to take in the mountain views and find your way to the ceremony site via a lovely five minute walk. The shuttle will bring guests to the venue by 4:00.
Will the ceremony and reception take place indoors or outdoors?
After the outdoor ceremony, we will enjoy the cocktail hour, dinner, and reception at the Wild Basin Lodge, which has indoor seating and dancing. There is an open air wraparound porch with tables and breathtaking views to enjoy throughout the evening!
I have dietary restrictions/allergies. What's the best way to let you know?
Please reach out to Elizabeth or Andrew directly with questions about dietary restrictions.
What will the weather be like?
This time of year in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado, it may be 75 or 35 degrees! Please bring sunglasses and an extra layer just in case the outdoor ceremony is chilly.
Should I be concerned about the altitude?
The elevation of Denver is 5280 ft. Estes Park is 7522 ft and Allenspark is 8428 ft. The best thing you can do to prevent altitude sickness is to drink lots of water--both in the few days prior to your arrival and during your stay. Some advocate adding Acclimate or similar product to your water. Other friends find a prescription pill Diamox helpful. It might even be beneficial to acclimate in Denver for a day before heading to the mountains.
Do you have a wedding registry?
Yes! Our wedding registry can be accessed via the "Registry" tab on our website.
