College is a time for education, freedom, and time to discover who you are. It is full of life changing events and has the potential to shape the course of your life should you choose to accept it. This is where our two lovebirds set out on a course to change their future, forever.&nbsp;&nbsp;Garrett and Liz first met in the study halls of Boise State University. The two friends suffered countless hours under the fluorescent lights in a windowless building where they fought sleep and boredom to study equations and laws of the physics. From the dim lights of the classroom, to the bright flood lights at Boise State football games, the two would share many memories together without realizing they were laying the foundation of their relationship. For nearly three years, Garrett and Liz spent their time weaving in and out of each other's lives. Always acquaintances, but no spark just yet. As their classes diminished in size, Garrett and Liz found their lives more intertwined than ever. The pair soon began to hang out outside of the classroom growing closer to one another, but neither had made a move for the other yet.Until one night, when Garrett decided to hassle Liz while playing darts. He waited until Liz was up to throw when he slammed his hand on the board. Liz hesitated until Garrett pestered her more about her skill. Not one to back down from a challenge, Liz threw the dart. Thankfully the evening did not end in a trip to the hospital, instead, it landed perfectly between his fingers. At this moment, Garrett knew she was the one. Liz, relieved that she didn't hit his hand, was also equally impressed with his arrogance. For a few weeks after that the couple found more and more excuses to be around eachother. Then something no one could have predicted happened. The 2020 pandemic closed many opportunities for the couple to find excuses to be around each other so they finally had to admit to themselves how they felt. Nearly a year later, Garrett finally made it official. In December of 2021 Garrett took Liz to Sensi Commons to stroll through the sparkling Christmas lights and later asked her to be his girlfriend.In the nearly three years of dating they adopted a rescue cat, Lily. Lily is an absolute sweetheart to Liz and Garrett but she despises everyone else. They purchased a home together and styled it together. The couple loves to fill the walls with art from their travels. The now engineers spend most of their time cooking and trying new recipes. The duo considers themselves "foodies” or food tasting to be one of their primary hobbies. They love to try new recipes and cooking techniques.&nbsp;Garrett popped the most important question in the sunflower fields of the Lowe family farm. He asked her to make him the happiest man alive with the ring he designed and the diamond they chose together. Influenced by the career of their choice, they chose the trillion shape. There was no doubt in Garrett or Liz's mind that the triangle was perfect to represent them. The triangle is the single most important and useful shape available to us as scientists, engineers, and architects. Its strength is undeniable. This is what drew the cut to our couple. The strength of a triangle lies in its unyielding stability, forged by the balance of its three sides and angles. Similarly, in love, strength emerges from a solid foundation, harmony of shared values, and trust. In the union of two souls, like the interconnected vertices of a triangle, love finds its strongest bond, rooted in mutual support and unwavering devotion.
